Sport England's short films on Primary school sport and physical activity released

Sport England has produced some short films to illustrate how schools can use the funding to increase and improve physical activity and sport outside the curriculum. The national partners: Association for Physical Education (afPE), Youth Sports Trust, sports coach UK and Compass, have supported the development of these four short films.

Watch Sport England's exclusive new films for a comprehensive guide to all aspects of physical activity in Primary Schools.

Sport England and other national partners are working with the Government to support the Primary PE and Sport Premium fund and have collectively developed the following vision for PE and School Sport:

All pupils leaving primary school physically literate and with the knowledge, skills and motivation necessary to equip them for a healthy lifestyle and lifelong participation in physical activity and sport.

The national partners have also produced a series of guidance posters to support schools in delivering the Primary PE and Sport Premium objectives and helping to achieve the vision. Sport England commissioned the Association for Physical Education, County Sports Partnership Network, sports coach UK and Youth Sport Trust to develop this guidance, designed to help inform investment into teacher Professional Learning, the Physical Literacy Framework and the Employment and Deployment of Coaches.

These posters capture the latest national advice and guidance, and include information to help your school maximise the investment and understand statutory obligations and minimum standards specifically around the delivery of PE and school sport. These are available below:

POSTER 1: The Physical Literacy Framework

POSTER 2: Effective Professional Learning
