A special thank you goes to the students from Gateshead College and each of the hosting secondary schools. They helped to organise and umpire the tournaments as part of their personal development and made the events the undoubted success that they were.
There have been two further tournaments organised by our School Sport Co-ordinators at Thomas Hepburn School and St Thomas More School. These tournaments were well supported and their winning team will also progress to the Gateshead Finals.
St Thomas More tournament qualifiers
Whickham St Mary's
Thomas Hepburn tournament qualifiers
The additional tournaments mean we had a grand total of 35 schools, 51 teams and approximately 400 pupils involved in our High 5 Netball tournaments - an awesome achievement and congratulations to all concerned. Netball seems to be thriving within our School Sport Partnership and we look forward to the Gateshead Finals next week.
