Funetics Activity Videos - England Athletics and funetics have launched their new funetics activity videos, as part of their new funetics programme. The videos demonstrate parents and children (aged 4-11) taking part in FUN activities based on fundamental core movement skills: running, jumping and throwing. Funetics Coaching Webinars for Coaches or Leaders who would like to develop. There are loads of different topics and the opportunity to talk to the professionals! You can access these videos here.
Funletics Home Resource Pack - This resource has been created to keep children active while learning at home and is full of curriculum based activities. You can also find their fun home activities here including wordsearches, colouring templates and more.
Daily Mile - The Daily Mile is simple and free and gets children out of the classroom for fifteen minutes every day to run or jog, at their own pace, with their classmates, making them fitter, healthier, and more able to concentrate in the classroom. With children at home they launched their weekly challenges within the #DailyMileAtHome campaign on their website here.
Sportshall Athletics have produced Sportshall Athletics Home Pentathlon. The Home Pentathlon is a fun way for families to take part in adapted Sportshall Athletics events within their home environment. We hope you find these resources helpful - the full details can be found here.
Bowls / Boccia

Cricket for Girls - Weekly Cricket Challenges launched through Twitter, Head Coach and former England Cricketer Lydia Greenway. Lydia set weekly cricket challenges to keep pupils, children and players occupied and active. Follow them on Twitter to keep up to date with the latest challenges and see how much you can develop and test your skills!
Chance to Shine Schools Cricket Resources - Here you will find a bank of weekly videos for children at home to follow to improve their fielding, catching and bowling skills.
Creative Dance Centre - Dancing For Joy Project
Dancing for Joy is a virtual project for young people to still dance and be creative discovering their solo choreographer whilst having to isolate at home. Giving young people the chance to be active in both body and mind through the wonderful world of dance.
Dancers who are aged between 11-18 years and any young person aged 14-19 years who would like to get involved in the project. Creative Dance Centre welcomes any new young person who has not engaged in their dance programmes before to try out their virtual ‘Dancing for Joy’ project. We see this as a great opportunity for young people to continue their dance practice or maybe try something new. It is their mission to provide virtual dance opportunities to help keep spirits lifted, to feel happy, inspired, to have fun and a chance to continue to be creative at home.
‘Dancing for Joy’ is a 14 week programme that started on Monday 25th May until week commencing 24th August. It is free to get involved and the following is shared every Monday from 11am:
- Providing a series of dance warm-ups, technique exercises, yoga stretches to keep bodies active.
- Launching new phrase material to learn and master each week.
- Setting weekly creative tasks and challenges helping to develop young people’s inner choreographer whilst having to continue to isolate.
- Creating opportunities to share ideas and performances with others through our social media platforms, a chance to appreciate each other’s dance and creativity.
Every week CDC will be offering a different way for young people to engage with them online, either via:
- YouTube Channel - CDC Creative Dance Centre
- Live Facebook sessions - @creativedancecentre
- Sign up sessions via Zoom
CDC ask that young people share their experiences with them @creativedancec4 including #dancingforjoy and they have until 5pm every Friday to share their feedback and creative work as part of the weekly challenge.
Fit To Dance (Disney On Ice Education Programme) - Disney On Ice shows get you moving and shaking to Disney classics, but FIT TO DANCE encourages children to stretch their minds as well as their legs. They have loads of resources for in school or for families at home which you can find here.
Dodgeball Activity Card - School Games have also been working with National Governing Bodies to produce Sport Activity cards that you can do at home. You can download the #StayInWorkOut Dodgeball activity card here.
Premier League Primary Stars - You can register your school here for resources on the Premier League Primary Stars website. There are so many activities relating to subjects across the curriculum.
Primary Stars Warm-up Challenge - Create your own warm-up with this great resource here.
British Gymnastics - You can find Gymnastics At Home challenges to follow on their youtube channel here which are released every Monday. The challenges are suitable for beginners and safety tips are included.

England Handball - England Handball have unveiled a club support package to help clubs and schools through this strange period. With handball activity currently on hold England Handball has put together the free online fitness offer for its members to stay in and work out. You can join in with the workouts here. They have also produced some online Coaching CPD Workshops.
