PRIMARY CROSS COUNTRY 2024!
We had an excellent day yesterday at Watergate Forest Park for our annual Gateshead Primary Schools Cross Country Competition!
There were 4 races throughout the afternoon which saw boys and girls from years 3/4 and years 5/6 take a lap of Watergate. Year 3/4s ran approximately 1,200m and year 5/6s ran around 1,800m.
We had an excellent group of year 10 young leaders from Whickham School, who marshalled the course and kept spirits high throughout.
Well done to all of the schools who took part! All pupils showed great determination to get round the course and we saw some excellent examples of sportsmanship.
